OPENING INTRODUCTION My name s Leonard McQuay aka Bro. Khalfani Malik Khaldun. 1am a Black (New Afrikan) man that has unfortunately spent (24) concurrent years inside the confines of Indiana’s State Prison Plan- tations. 1 am 41 years old and I have surrendered all criminal incli- nations to embrace a political consciousness and translormation of loving my self and people. Knowing that bettering who I am means that 1 may very well be a quality example and good representation of Black mankood. As children, we imagine what our lives can and will be. We trav- erse the gamut of possible professions that would provide us with a lifetime of elation in our crystalline world. In the span of a week to years we travel down the spectrum of life’s work becoming instant masters of any craft . We went from Cowboys to Indians, from Doc- tors to Fathers to Firemen, from Super Heroes; to villains. There was no dimensions of existence we could not fathom. We know our ancestors went from being Kings and Queens, to slaves with slave-masters. Yet we still stand and we’re still coming, growing, and trying to rebuild our fallen nation. Why did we stop believing we could do anything beautiful people? 1 have grown up inside a prison cell. Throughout my life I have seen some dismal things such as depression, dependency, death, destitution, and the gloominess prison imprisonment clicits in us through one or two responses: comfort and complacency in our misery or motivation to discover potential. 1 challenge you Black Women and my brothers on lockdown to attempt the latter. I chal- lenge o dare each and every current or potential recidivist to rec- oncile with yourselves, chalk up what ever inconsistent behavior you may have as experience, and move forward. As a straight Black man, I can state being separated from, and not being able to engage in sexual relations with a woman is ab- normal to me. We were made to love each other. The most unfor- “
tunate reality of Black men coming to prison is our women (Black Women) tend to abandon us once the Judge hands down sen- tences. This really has a lasting affect on our trust in relations with many Black Women. Not (all) women run off and abandon their lovers and men. This is why you have White Women connecting ‘more and more with Black men. They’re being smart, knowing that inside these prison walls. Black mén are transforming our lives, and becoming the kings we are supposed to be. Standing by the men they’ve chosen builds a bond that’s unshakable. Once their together his coming home is her (constellation prize). So, waiting s ultimately worth it. I respect the hell out of any woman that over stands how important it is to stand by her man. A woman must believe that to invest her life and resources in a man in prison. That he has to show his higher self, through respon- sible work and stiff determination to get home to his woman. It’s my hope that my words will be an encouragement to (all) Black Sisters to step up and be better examples and stop cheating and Iying or running off on your partners. There are moments when a man is in prison, his relationship with his woman helps him navigate through some very degrading moments. The visits, mail, money for survival, and just hearing a sweet female voice. Helps us remain sane and affirms for us we’re still men with (all) our faculties intact. I’must assume that no man or woman ever imagined themselves spending years of their lives inside prison. Being subjected to the whimsical moods of other people, and this means to me that many dreams or aspirations that have died in the streets or prison plantations. Twrite toleave a record of my existence, to shout to the present/ future world that I was here and...l understood my past, present, and prospective states of human existence. That, although I am in prison, 1 live on my own terms. I write to affirm that we are crea- tors and as such, must manifest our own worlds go our way, and pay to ourselves to give us the strength, the will, the audacity to travel the touted off-the-map paths that lead to greatness, juxta- posed to the mediocre highways of the majority. My priority is to reach my release, that grand destination or die trying, to achieve 51
it. This booklet is my contribution to Black Women. This is the spoken word of my redemption. You will enjoy it and you may write to me with your thoughts, your love, your support, and your embrace. These are the words of a clearly dedicated Souljah and defender of the Second Self of God the Black Woman on Earth. My soul and my spirit cries out to you, your validation means| something to me. (24) years cut off from you and my family has made me humble and appreciative. There are some people that stand in solidarity with me in the Free World. The Campaign to Free Khalfani Malik Khaldun exists ly to promote righting an injustice that occurred, that resulted my being framed on a murder charge inside prison of a prison guard. Prior to being released on my initial charge in 1994. I was found guilty and sentenced to a (60) year sentence. Massive sup- port is needed, if you want to be a contributor. Message to Black Women and your Daughters: (Reflections on the Significance of the Woman) “Until we learn to love and prorect our women, we will never be fic and recog- ized people on the carth. The other races of people among us will never recog- ize us unil we Protect our Women.” ‘The Stain of Slavery Past Black Women can and have a moment of your time? For if you bless me with that moment, I want to revisit a time that was terri- ble for our ancestors, who were the direct descendants of, and that we are inheritors of that past and story that can’t be denied. We must expose it whenever we can. ‘The transatlantic slave trade was forced upon our ancestors with the intent of destroying everything that identified the Afrikan peo- ple as mighty and powerfully intelligent. Our tribal ancestors were bought, traded, and broken to submission to be relocated to all four corners of the carth, while Afrikan men and their sons were being systematically broken of resistance attitudes who displayed any propensity to retaliate through violence for the slave master’s ‘wrongs. The slave master in his fits of perversion and racist lust. Would sneak away from his wife’s bed into the female Slave Quar- ters and rape and sodomize Afrikan Women. These acts of violence and White terrorism would become the norm on Slave Plantations all across the US. and the world where Afrikan slaves were held captive. These rapes unfortunately resulted in widespread pregnancies. Tainted pure Afrikan bloodlines with European (DNA) and created lighter skinned Afrikan people. Out of rage from being raped, women forcefully aborted their children. Those that gave birth, these children that were allowed to grow into maturity, soon would find favor due to being of a lighter skin complexion from their fathers the slave master. Marking the beginning of a clash be- tween the lighter skinned Afrikan over the darker skinned Afr kan. To maintain control and discourage solidarity, unity, loyalty, among plantation slaves. They had to create a system that pitted il
young against old, light against the dark skinned. Undeniably im- planting a deeply rooted generational sense of sell-hate. They had ‘our ancestors hating each other and loving the master who created the atmosphere that caused us to hate each other. This ugliness many of us also relate to the (Willic Lynch Syndrome) has found its permanent residence in our homes and communities. To make some sense of why we seem to have lost our way, our love of self, and our love and appreciation for women. ‘The stain is very apparently clear. Those men who have been re- awakened from the ignorance of self-hate, and now embrace self - love. We have a genuine obligation to take one day at a time to right the wrongs we have generated against Black Women. What you’re taught So Shall You Be In the 1950’s and 1960’ the role of the Black Woman as the first teacher of her home was significant. As time progressed, these trends changed and mothers begin to teach their daughter how to pursue the right man. Bad choices like what types of cars they’re driving or how much money they bave, took center stage over whether the man was intelligent or responsible, or did he even if he know how to treat and protect a woman. So, the right man be- came the one with the right material possessions, even if he was Mr. Wrong in all the other categories. ‘This mentality would come to be known as the “Bad Girl Gold Digger” mentality,. What must be understood though is, not all women then practiced this mentality, nor do they now. This has since been past down like a generational curse throughout the Black Communities across Amerika. Now, young imitating their sisters, mothers, aunts, and other beautiful Black Women and other women they see, not knowing they’re reducing the value and greatness of one of God’s best creations. Black mothers, you have an obligation to teach your daghters early who they are and that they must love themseives. And to never engage in behaviors that would make it easy for any man looking to destroy their essence, or to feel justified in attempting to o so. The Black Woman from birth is a creation of something God-like 8
like. She s supposed to be nurtured by the best examples of Black Womanhood. If she s taught to be a lady, she’ll internalize lady- like behavior to mature and develop accordingly. But, if her envi- ronment is overwhelmed by women who had terrible examples of black female neglect, she will grow up seeking nourishment and affection, and end up in the clutches of men and women that ma- nipulate them through their insecurities. Then be consumed by life’s many disappointments, leading to a vicious cycle of poor ex- amples for future generations to come. Black men who still exhibit the ignorance of a slave mentality, who do not fully overstand their injustices against you, will always be a role player in further- ing the already fragmented and fragile state of beautiful black un- conscious women and your daughters. The Good and Bad in your Relationships with your Black Men There are some very impressive examples of Good Quality R tionships between Black Men and Black Women, who are raising up strong, educated black children. They make time for them and aflectionately nurture what information their children are ex- posed to. Most importantly their teaching them that being black is absolutely beautiful. That to love themselves is to respect and love the parents God blessed to give them life. Now, on the other hand, there are Black Relationships where children who didn’t ask to be in the world, created by two people that may have only been “in lust”, and not in love. So, once the children are born, the father is gone and momma has to raise them i a single-pareat home. This picture could also be reversed, that once a baby is born for whatever the reason a mother disappears, we know crack cocaine is one source for this, as well as joblessness along with poverty are others; and self-hate has also beat a lot of beautiful Black Women down. Irresponsibility, poor choices, and a lack of self-respect, made many lose their desire to help re- emancipate Bad Black Relationships. ©
Your Black men constitute one of the most misunderstood groups in these United States, paradoxically, society has thrust upon them the burden of being simultancously invisibie and overly visible. We are made overly visible by a media that seldom sheds a light on the number of Afrikan men who are incarcerated, on drugs, unemployed, or in gangs. Yet, these statistics conveniently neglect the fact that a great number of (us) are responsible and faithful role models and leaders, men who make an honest living, support their families, and champion the interests of our people. Sadly, these are the black men that lie in the shadows of the na-  tional spotlight, and who are largely invisible in Amerikan Soci- ety.  The ruin of the strong black female and male relationship, is a real poison. Lies, deception, and cheating on one’s mate, results in dysfunctional relationships. Black women, in order to have the ‘man you want, all the games you play has to cease to exist. When you know the man you have has proven to be the truth, no one or nothing should cause you to be disrespectfully unfaithful. Every time you betray your lover, soul mate, or husband, you release a lot of negative vibrations into the atmosphere, reducing your es-  sence to be called all the derogatory names men call women that betray them.  Your betrayal leads to your man internalizing disloyalty and dis- trust, whereas he will never be loyal to any woman again. When black men betray their wives, lovers, soul mates, by cheating on them. The same dynamic applies to women, theyl refuse to be completely faithful, and less trusting.  Why are Black Men Choosing White Women?  This s in some part, a result of that (Willie Lynch Syndrome) used on us generations ago. Black men that reach success in vari- ous fields of business, have for a while equated their success with the need to have a trophy that symbolizes acceptance in White Amerika. This is changing slightly, women from all comers of White Amerika are pursuing Black men aggressively because, not  o}
only are they not generating a lot of wealth, they are capitalizing on the Black Woman’s neglect to her Black Man. Black poverty, lack of education, an unemployment has been the cause of the Black man’s criminal mentality. A black father that loves their children, who is down on his luck to put food on his table, will sell drugs, rob, cheat, and steal. Bringing him in contact with the criminal justice system. When black men go to prison, many of the women slowly disap- pear, leaving us to endure this plight on our own. Having our strong black women in our lives, makes doing time endurable. Be- ing abandoned by you creates a lot of despair and resentment in our hearts; most women are not conditioned or willing to ride it out with their men. Winnic Mandela a South Afrikan (Black) woman remained loyally by the side of her husband Nelson, who was in prison for 26 years; there are some exceptions to the rule rareas they may be. Other black women seem to feel that a black man can’t do noth- ing for them while in prison, this reality is now known wide- spread, while white women are beginning to step up and support these men abandoned and forgotten by you. These women are searching to find strong quality men on the internet and in the streets. Their coming up with “blanks” or a lot of boys masquerad- ing as men, they don’t want to be with. So, their entering prisons or writing black men, and finding the qualities of men in prison they can’t find in society. ‘These men, in their minds eye will be in prison when they’re at home asleep at night, or when their at work. They know these men are not out in the streets cheating or whoring around. They are investing in this man who will ultimately come home to them; they see their investment as worth it. These women are all shapes and sizes, they are calling attorneys, visiting their men regularly, send- ing them money for basic necessities, falling madly in love and ap- preciating the deep passion that dwells in the heart of conscious and educated black men. There is no greater feeling then giving Tove and being loved back. While, black women may be upset that "
white women are being chosen over them by black men in prison. You must acknowledge the role you’ve played that made it easy for them to replace you. Honestly, she deserves her happiness also. If white women are honoring black men by loyalty, love, and action leading to their chosen man being released, then I can respect our brother’s choice to love his white woman; what will you do to love and support your black man? You must stop denying him access to his children. Stop using the children to punish him. Start going to the prisons to support your black men. Doing so will send a powerful message to White Amerika and white women alike, that you will no longer make it easy for the system or anyone to destroy the black men you used to call your man. Be a true friend to him, for he may be the next chosen one to uplift our lost found nation. Many of (us) conscious black men have opened our eyes and pos- sess the i the path. You have to start believing in us black men again. Black Women God’s Original Guardian Angel - the Value of the Female Gender The Black Woman, (Queens) on Eath. The female, according to the bible, is a part of man. But you are more than a part of man, the woman is the Second Self of God. Black women, if you know why you are as you are, if makes it better for you to be yourself. Black ‘women, you are the women of God, the more (we) grow to reflect God, then the hearts of you women will calm down and be more at peace. You are disappointed, disillusioned, and hurt by (us) be- cause you expected something and did not get what you expected. An illusion attracted you, but reality woke you up. Were you wrong to expect? No. The Holy Qu’ran deals with the nature of things, because no person can rule unless you understand the na- ture of that, which you are trying to rule. You must understand ‘Order to develop your self-mastery. &)
Sister Susan Taylor of Essence Magazine said: the Lvory Coast 1o Amerika. This is our watch, We must reqffirm_our commis- ment to our people. We must use our skils to emporer qur people and sell the. "BEOPLE the truth.™ ‘The Holy Qu’ran says, “men are the maintainers of women.” It is the natural order and role of man to work hard to produce what is mecessary to maintain a woman and the children that are produced from that woman. He is a protector, provider, and he is supposed to guide. We cannot guide a woman with sex, and if a man is dumb. enough to think that sex can guide a female, then the marriage or relationship falls down, Guidance comes from the brain, no where else. Guidance must manifest wisdom and truth that is from God. ZIhe enly thing that can maintain you (the woman) of God, s the word of ‘God rightly brought from o man wha is the image and likeness of God. When man is right with God in himself, he guides his family through life and protects them. What then comes up out of you is a natural desire to praise (us), When you fall genuinely in love by recciving it back, it makes you want to serve and cater to (us). You do things to please (us), whether it be cooking a great meal, or cleaning up our home, or the way you fix yourself up. You feel powerful, Quecnly, because (we) brought happiness to your soul; by being the men we suppose to be. Black men can attract you, but we cannot hold you down. We can give you children, yet we drop the ball in helping you prop- erly raise them. We can make money, but we become seifish when it’s time to contribute. Beautiful Precious Black Woman, you have been greatly abused, misused, and disrespected. Men have lost re- spect for our Black Jewels, discarding them not knowing to hurt youin any way, means hurting ourselves. When 2 woman is innocent, a virgin, and is raised in a whole- some environment, she loves purely. Her first love in a wholesome my
environment is the male image of her father. She loves to be  hugged by her father because it’s safe and secure; our nature is the same.  A woman is made secure in a good man, and a good man is made secure in God. There’s a natural sequence, as the Bible teaches: “Ged is the head of man, man is the head of woman, and woman is the head of the child” When all is in accord with this, the natural order functions properly, there is joy and speak and peace.  Black women, you’re three times the worth and value of man, because you bring forth life. Women teach and train the children. S0, if you are an ignorant, unlettered, and foolish woman, you will give rise to a backwards people. So, when socicty wants to take the world down, they’ll start with destroying the value of knowledge in a woman. When anybody denies you knowledge of your true self, they deny an entire nation of people. That’s how valuable a woman is.  Queens, we must recognize that something went wrong with US, Black men and women through theé properly reestablishing our generational family units. We must reverse the ugliness we exhibit toward one another from the affects of that racist (Willie Lynch Syndrome). We must stop hating and envying the successful strides we make in this existence. Every black leader who has tried to break this process has been falsely accused, maligned, brought to jail, beaten, and even put to death.  Black women, after you marry our brothers, you realize he has no discipline or self-control. So, you start looking somewhere else, only to find that somebody else is in that same state. You run from one man after another, and you end up disappointed again. So, why not stay with and stand by the man you have and help make him into a good disciplined man. God knew what he was doing when he made you in all of your beautiful glory. God created your form to be appealing to your man’s eyes.  The Holy Qu’ran says you were created to give man peace and quict of mind and to be a consoler for him.  |}
Black Women you must Educate your Daughters Hyper-sexuality is being associated with today’s young black women, a poison that allegedly demands young women offer themselves o any man who asks. Many young black teenage fe- males feel isolated and alone because their mothers are not educat- ing them about their bodies or about the dangers of sexual abuse. Many other young women refuse to degrade themselves in ex- change for male companionship; we must arm young black women with tools they need to make wise choices. There is a corporate- driven “slut culture” being promoted in the United States. The oppression and misuse of women is not new to Amerika, or Amerika culture, but many sec a crisis of misogynistic and racist clements that are damaging the soul of the nation and hurting chil- dren, women and men in the process. Our black women, in par- ticular, have historically been portrayed as sexual objects to justify slavery, rape, sexual abuse and denial of respect and opportunity. “Hotness” and sex appeal are also being pushed on adolescents and younger girls in a dangerous way. Girls and young women suffer intellectual, psychological and physical problems as a result of messages that push sexualization. A person is held to a standard that equates physical attractiveness (narrowly defined) with being sexy. Made into a tool for others to use sexuality, rather than seen as a person with the capacity for independent action and decision-making, and/or ; sexuality i s appropriately imposed upon young women. Shame and anxiety, was linked with three of the most common mental health problems diagnosed in girls and women; cating disorders; low self-esteem; and depression or depressed moods; had negative consequences on agirl’s ability to develop a healthy sexual self-image. Educate your Daughters. The increased sexualization of young girls coincides with the increase over time in teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and single parent households. Moreover, one in four girls in this country have had a (STD). We are not raising or educating them (5]
Right. We are failing to nurture them the right way what they need.  ing them  Historically women and young girls across all races have been seen as property. But, black women have been especially debased. During slavery, the black woman’s value was connected to how many children she could bear and servicing the sexual nceds of slave owners. The aggressive sex culture and industry, and nega- tive images of black men promoted by white corporate executives is undermining black male and female relationships. The black community is the most besieged community in Amerika, and if you break down and undermine the relationships, you destroy the fam-  ily structure and foundation of strength and self-determination in apeople.  No more Disrespect—Love yourselves Embrace your Blackness and your Beauty  If no one ever values your intelligence, your talents, skills, and the beauty of your chastity and modesty, how will future genera- tions of young women learn to appreciate themselves? This why it’s extremely important you have a strong sense of identity, not knowing who you are and the purpose of your existence is very emotionally unhealthy.  Black men have a moral duty to protect and respect our women and forge a way of life for you in this society. They should be free to express themselves in an environment where a woman will be “honored” and not have to be worried that someone’s going to harass or proposition them. A woman should be free to rise as high as her gifts and talents will allow. Black men have to step up, strike out, and build this kind of reality for our Black women, sisters, and mothers; who are and will be our partners in progress. We need to create and control institutions that reflect eternal values grounded  n the law of God, which protect women from abuse and mistreat- ment.  ‘While many Black men, this writer included, are partial to light-  [0}
Skinned “red bones”, we confess to the reality beyond the physical attributes, we have beautiful women of all shades of Brown. How- ever, the continued preference for lighter sisters among the Black Community bears witness to psychic wounds that are not com- pletely healed. The poisonous seli-hatred that pours freely in the rejection of dark blackness is painful evidence of our unresolved racial anxieties about our true beauty and sell-worth. Dark black women have often been cast aside and looked down upon because they embody the most visible connection to a fertile Afrikan heritage whose value remains suspect in our culture and nation. Stop identifying yourselves as a had bitch or whore. Some of you have embraced these backward identities as validating your self-worth. You shouldn’t want to be nobody’s “bottom bitch”, how can you find pride or dignity in that? God gave you the (special gift) to bring life into this world. Take a minute to think about the value of being one that creates. You are God’s highest creation—like female Gods (Goddesses) on this Earth. How then could you abuse the Temple God blessed you with or allow others to mistreat your body. You must embrace your identity, your many shapes, shades in color, physical looks, because always remember, it’s all from God. Our genetics are individual blue prints that con- nects us to our parents and thus, to God the original creator s all. You must respect and bonor your greatness, if we can ever ex- pect Black family and community to rebuild itself . Stop hating one another, embrace your sisters where ever you know they are. Be that shining example that young black women need and want to be ke. Why I Love Black Women: The Genuine Appreciation (Final Note) Black women have given us life, Love, and often fought for us when we were to0 afraid to fight for ourselves. They have suffered indignities, hardships, and rejection to make a way for us as our mothers, sisters, and even our wives. We owe you better than what ’ 07
»u have now or have been afforded in current society, and it is e we start to repay a long awaited overdue debt. As a strong New Afrikan (Black) Man, I was raised by a strong ack woman, who was forced to be responsible for my father’s of not being there. Carricd her (5) daughters and (3) sons on « back. Bl
OPENING INTRODUCTION

My name s Leonard McQuay aka Bro. Khalfani Malik Khaldun.
1am a Black (New Afrikan) man that has unfortunately spent (24)
concurrent years inside the confines of Indiana's State Prison Plan-
tations. 1 am 41 years old and I have surrendered all criminal incli-
nations to embrace a political consciousness and translormation of
loving my self and people. Knowing that bettering who I am means

that 1 may very well be a quality example and good representation
of Black mankood.

As children, we imagine what our lives can and will be. We trav-
erse the gamut of possible professions that would provide us with a
lifetime of elation in our crystalline world. In the span of a week to
years we travel down the spectrum of life’s work becoming instant
masters of any craft . We went from Cowboys to Indians, from Doc-
tors to Fathers to Firemen, from Super Heroes; to villains. There
was no dimensions of existence we could not fathom. We know
our ancestors went from being Kings and Queens, to slaves with
slave-masters. Yet we still stand and we're still coming, growing,
and trying to rebuild our fallen nation. Why did we stop believing
we could do anything beautiful people?

1 have grown up inside a prison cell. Throughout my life I have
seen some dismal things such as depression, dependency, death,
destitution, and the gloominess prison imprisonment clicits in us
through one or two responses: comfort and complacency in our
misery or motivation to discover potential. 1 challenge you Black
Women and my brothers on lockdown to attempt the latter. I chal-
lenge o dare each and every current or potential recidivist to rec-
oncile with yourselves, chalk up what ever inconsistent behavior
you may have as experience, and move forward.

As a straight Black man, I can state being separated from, and
not being able to engage in sexual relations with a woman is ab-
normal to me. We were made to love each other. The most unfor-

tunate reality of Black men coming to prison is our women (Black
Women) tend to abandon us once the Judge hands down sen-
tences. This really has a lasting affect on our trust in relations with
many Black Women. Not (all) women run off and abandon their
lovers and men. This is why you have White Women connecting
‘more and more with Black men. They're being smart, knowing that
inside these prison walls. Black mén are transforming our lives,
and becoming the kings we are supposed to be. Standing by the
men they've chosen builds a bond that's unshakable. Once their
together his coming home is her (constellation prize). So, waiting
s ultimately worth it. I respect the hell out of any woman that over
stands how important it is to stand by her man.

A woman must believe that to invest her life and resources in a
man in prison. That he has to show his higher self, through respon-
sible work and stiff determination to get home to his woman. It's
my hope that my words will be an encouragement to (all) Black
Sisters to step up and be better examples and stop cheating and
Iying or running off on your partners.

There are moments when a man is in prison, his relationship
with his woman helps him navigate through some very degrading
moments. The visits, mail, money for survival, and just hearing a
sweet female voice. Helps us remain sane and affirms for us we're
still men with (all) our faculties intact. I'must assume that no man
or woman ever imagined themselves spending years of their lives
inside prison. Being subjected to the whimsical moods of other
people, and this means to me that many dreams or aspirations that
have died in the streets or prison plantations.

Twrite toleave a record of my existence, to shout to the present/
future world that I was here and...l understood my past, present,
and prospective states of human existence. That, although I am in
prison, 1 live on my own terms. I write to affirm that we are crea-
tors and as such, must manifest our own worlds go our way, and
pay to ourselves to give us the strength, the will, the audacity to
travel the touted off-the-map paths that lead to greatness, juxta-
posed to the mediocre highways of the majority. My priority is to
reach my release, that grand destination or die trying, to achieve

51
it. This booklet is my contribution to Black Women. This is the
spoken word of my redemption. You will enjoy it and you may
write to me with your thoughts, your love, your support, and your
embrace. These are the words of a clearly dedicated Souljah and
defender of the Second Self of God the Black Woman on Earth.

My soul and my spirit cries out to you, your validation means|

something to me. (24) years cut off from you and my family has
made me humble and appreciative.

There are some people that stand in solidarity with me in the
Free World. The Campaign to Free Khalfani Malik Khaldun exists

ly to promote righting an injustice that occurred, that resulted
my being framed on a murder charge inside prison of a prison
guard. Prior to being released on my initial charge in 1994. I was
found guilty and sentenced to a (60) year sentence. Massive sup-
port is needed, if you want to be a contributor. You may contact

me directly, or you can reach out to the campaign team’s post of-
fice box.

Message to Black Women and your Daughters:

(Reflections on the Significance of the Woman)
“Until we learn to love and prorect our women, we will never be fic and recog-

ized people on the carth. The other races of people among us will never recog-
ize us unil we Protect our Women.”

‘The Stain of Slavery Past

Black Women can and have a moment of your time? For if you
bless me with that moment, I want to revisit a time that was terri-
ble for our ancestors, who were the direct descendants of, and that
we are inheritors of that past and story that can’t be denied. We
must expose it whenever we can.

‘The transatlantic slave trade was forced upon our ancestors with
the intent of destroying everything that identified the Afrikan peo-
ple as mighty and powerfully intelligent. Our tribal ancestors were
bought, traded, and broken to submission to be relocated to all
four corners of the carth, while Afrikan men and their sons were
being systematically broken of resistance attitudes who displayed
any propensity to retaliate through violence for the slave master’s
‘wrongs. The slave master in his fits of perversion and racist lust.
Would sneak away from his wife’s bed into the female Slave Quar-
ters and rape and sodomize Afrikan Women. These acts of violence
and White terrorism would become the norm on Slave Plantations
all across the US. and the world where Afrikan slaves were held
captive.

These rapes unfortunately resulted in widespread pregnancies.
Tainted pure Afrikan bloodlines with European (DNA) and created
lighter skinned Afrikan people. Out of rage from being raped,
women forcefully aborted their children. Those that gave birth,
these children that were allowed to grow into maturity, soon
would find favor due to being of a lighter skin complexion from
their fathers the slave master. Marking the beginning of a clash be-
tween the lighter skinned Afrikan over the darker skinned Afr
kan. To maintain control and discourage solidarity, unity, loyalty,
among plantation slaves. They had to create a system that pitted

il

young against old, light against the dark skinned. Undeniably im-
planting a deeply rooted generational sense of sell-hate. They had
‘our ancestors hating each other and loving the master who created
the atmosphere that caused us to hate each other. This ugliness
many of us also relate to the (Willic Lynch Syndrome) has found its
permanent residence in our homes and communities. To make
some sense of why we seem to have lost our way, our love of self,
and our love and appreciation for women.

‘The stain is very apparently clear. Those men who have been re-
awakened from the ignorance of self-hate, and now embrace self -
love. We have a genuine obligation to take one day at a time to
right the wrongs we have generated against Black Women.

What you’re taught So Shall You Be

In the 1950's and 1960’ the role of the Black Woman as the first
teacher of her home was significant. As time progressed, these
trends changed and mothers begin to teach their daughter how to
pursue the right man. Bad choices like what types of cars they're
driving or how much money they bave, took center stage over
whether the man was intelligent or responsible, or did he even if
he know how to treat and protect a woman. So, the right man be-

came the one with the right material possessions, even if he was
Mr. Wrong in all the other categories.

‘This mentality would come to be known as the “Bad Girl Gold
Digger” mentality,. What must be understood though is, not all
women then practiced this mentality, nor do they now. This has
since been past down like a generational curse throughout the
Black Communities across Amerika. Now, young imitating their
sisters, mothers, aunts, and other beautiful Black Women and
other women they see, not knowing they're reducing the value and
greatness of one of God’s best creations. Black mothers, you have
an obligation to teach your daghters early who they are and that
they must love themseives. And to never engage in behaviors that

would make it easy for any man looking to destroy their essence,
or to feel justified in attempting to o so.

The Black Woman from birth is a creation of something God-like

8
like. She s supposed to be nurtured by the best examples of Black
Womanhood. If she s taught to be a lady, she'll internalize lady-
like behavior to mature and develop accordingly. But, if her envi-
ronment is overwhelmed by women who had terrible examples of
black female neglect, she will grow up seeking nourishment and
affection, and end up in the clutches of men and women that ma-
nipulate them through their insecurities. Then be consumed by
life's many disappointments, leading to a vicious cycle of poor ex-
amples for future generations to come. Black men who still exhibit
the ignorance of a slave mentality, who do not fully overstand
their injustices against you, will always be a role player in further-
ing the already fragmented and fragile state of beautiful black un-
conscious women and your daughters.

The Good and Bad in your Relationships
with your Black Men

There are some very impressive examples of Good Quality R
tionships between Black Men and Black Women, who are raising
up strong, educated black children. They make time for them and
aflectionately nurture what information their children are ex-
posed to. Most importantly their teaching them that being black is
absolutely beautiful. That to love themselves is to respect and love
the parents God blessed to give them life.

Now, on the other hand, there are Black Relationships where
children who didn't ask to be in the world, created by two people
that may have only been “in lust”, and not in love. So, once the
children are born, the father is gone and momma has to raise them
i a single-pareat home. This picture could also be reversed, that
once a baby is born for whatever the reason a mother disappears,
we know crack cocaine is one source for this, as well as joblessness
along with poverty are others; and self-hate has also beat a lot of
beautiful Black Women down. Irresponsibility, poor choices, and a
lack of self-respect, made many lose their desire to help re-
emancipate Bad Black Relationships.

©
Your Black men constitute one of the most misunderstood
groups in these United States, paradoxically, society has thrust
upon them the burden of being simultancously invisibie and overly
visible. We are made overly visible by a media that seldom sheds a
light on the number of Afrikan men who are incarcerated, on
drugs, unemployed, or in gangs. Yet, these statistics conveniently
neglect the fact that a great number of (us) are responsible and
faithful role models and leaders, men who make an honest living,
support their families, and champion the interests of our people.
Sadly, these are the black men that lie in the shadows of the na-

tional spotlight, and who are largely invisible in Amerikan Soci-
ety.

The ruin of the strong black female and male relationship, is a
real poison. Lies, deception, and cheating on one’s mate, results in
dysfunctional relationships. Black women, in order to have the
‘man you want, all the games you play has to cease to exist. When
you know the man you have has proven to be the truth, no one or
nothing should cause you to be disrespectfully unfaithful. Every
time you betray your lover, soul mate, or husband, you release a
lot of negative vibrations into the atmosphere, reducing your es-

sence to be called all the derogatory names men call women that
betray them.

Your betrayal leads to your man internalizing disloyalty and dis-
trust, whereas he will never be loyal to any woman again. When
black men betray their wives, lovers, soul mates, by cheating on
them. The same dynamic applies to women, theyl refuse to be
completely faithful, and less trusting.

Why are Black Men Choosing White Women?

This s in some part, a result of that (Willie Lynch Syndrome)
used on us generations ago. Black men that reach success in vari-
ous fields of business, have for a while equated their success with
the need to have a trophy that symbolizes acceptance in White
Amerika. This is changing slightly, women from all comers of
White Amerika are pursuing Black men aggressively because, not

o}
only are they not generating a lot of wealth, they are capitalizing
on the Black Woman's neglect to her Black Man.

Black poverty, lack of education, an unemployment has been the
cause of the Black man’s criminal mentality. A black father that
loves their children, who is down on his luck to put food on his
table, will sell drugs, rob, cheat, and steal. Bringing him in contact
with the criminal justice system.

When black men go to prison, many of the women slowly disap-
pear, leaving us to endure this plight on our own. Having our
strong black women in our lives, makes doing time endurable. Be-
ing abandoned by you creates a lot of despair and resentment in
our hearts; most women are not conditioned or willing to ride it
out with their men. Winnic Mandela a South Afrikan (Black)
woman remained loyally by the side of her husband Nelson, who
was in prison for 26 years; there are some exceptions to the rule
rareas they may be.

Other black women seem to feel that a black man can't do noth-
ing for them while in prison, this reality is now known wide-
spread, while white women are beginning to step up and support
these men abandoned and forgotten by you. These women are
searching to find strong quality men on the internet and in the
streets. Their coming up with “blanks” or a lot of boys masquerad-
ing as men, they don’t want to be with. So, their entering prisons
or writing black men, and finding the qualities of men in prison
they can’t find in society.

‘These men, in their minds eye will be in prison when they're at
home asleep at night, or when their at work. They know these men
are not out in the streets cheating or whoring around. They are
investing in this man who will ultimately come home to them; they
see their investment as worth it. These women are all shapes and
sizes, they are calling attorneys, visiting their men regularly, send-
ing them money for basic necessities, falling madly in love and ap-
preciating the deep passion that dwells in the heart of conscious
and educated black men. There is no greater feeling then giving
Tove and being loved back. While, black women may be upset that

"
white women are being chosen over them by black men in prison.
You must acknowledge the role you've played that made it easy for
them to replace you.

Honestly, she deserves her happiness also. If white women are
honoring black men by loyalty, love, and action leading to their
chosen man being released, then I can respect our brother’s choice
to love his white woman; what will you do to love and support
your black man? You must stop denying him access to his children.
Stop using the children to punish him. Start going to the prisons to
support your black men. Doing so will send a powerful message to
White Amerika and white women alike, that you will no longer
make it easy for the system or anyone to destroy the black men you
used to call your man. Be a true friend to him, for he may be the
next chosen one to uplift our lost found nation.

Many of (us) conscious black men have opened our eyes and pos-
sess the i

the path. You have to start believing in us black men again.

Black Women God’s Original Guardian Angel -
the Value of the Female Gender

The Black Woman, (Queens) on Eath. The female, according to
the bible, is a part of man. But you are more than a part of man, the
woman is the Second Self of God. Black women, if you know why
you are as you are, if makes it better for you to be yourself. Black
‘women, you are the women of God, the more (we) grow to reflect
God, then the hearts of you women will calm down and be more
at peace. You are disappointed, disillusioned, and hurt by (us) be-
cause you expected something and did not get what you expected.

An illusion attracted you, but reality woke you up. Were you
wrong to expect? No. The Holy Qu'ran deals with the nature of
things, because no person can rule unless you understand the na-
ture of that, which you are trying to rule. You must understand

‘Order to develop your self-mastery.

the Lvory Coast 1o Amerika. This is our watch, We must reqffirm_our commis-

ment to our people. We must use our skils to emporer qur people and sell the.
"BEOPLE the truth.™

‘The Holy Qu'ran says, “men are the maintainers of women.” It is the
natural order and role of man to work hard to produce what is
mecessary to maintain a woman and the children that are produced
from that woman. He is a protector, provider, and he is supposed
to guide. We cannot guide a woman with sex, and if a man is dumb.
enough to think that sex can guide a female, then the marriage or
relationship falls down, Guidance comes from the brain, no where
else. Guidance must manifest wisdom and truth that is from God.

ZIhe enly thing that can maintain you (the woman) of God, s the word of
‘God rightly brought from o man wha is the image and likeness of God.

When man is right with God in himself, he guides his family
through life and protects them. What then comes up out of you is a
natural desire to praise (us), When you fall genuinely in love by
recciving it back, it makes you want to serve and cater to (us). You
do things to please (us), whether it be cooking a great meal, or
cleaning up our home, or the way you fix yourself up. You feel
powerful, Quecnly, because (we) brought happiness to your soul;
by being the men we suppose to be.

Black men can attract you, but we cannot hold you down. We
can give you children, yet we drop the ball in helping you prop-
erly raise them. We can make money, but we become seifish when
it's time to contribute. Beautiful Precious Black Woman, you have
been greatly abused, misused, and disrespected. Men have lost re-
spect for our Black Jewels, discarding them not knowing to hurt
youin any way, means hurting ourselves.

When 2 woman is innocent, a virgin, and is raised in a whole-
some environment, she loves purely. Her first love in a wholesome

my
environment is the male image of her father. She loves to be

hugged by her father because it's safe and secure; our nature is the
same.

A woman is made secure in a good man, and a good man is made
secure in God. There’s a natural sequence, as the Bible teaches:
“Ged is the head of man, man is the head of woman, and woman is the
head of the child” When all is in accord with this, the natural order
functions properly, there is joy and speak and peace.

Black women, you're three times the worth and value of man,
because you bring forth life. Women teach and train the children.
S0, if you are an ignorant, unlettered, and foolish woman, you will
give rise to a backwards people. So, when socicty wants to take the
world down, they'll start with destroying the value of knowledge
in a woman. When anybody denies you knowledge of your true
self, they deny an entire nation of people. That's how valuable a
woman is.

Queens, we must recognize that something went wrong with US,
Black men and women through theé properly reestablishing our
generational family units. We must reverse the ugliness we exhibit
toward one another from the affects of that racist (Willie Lynch
Syndrome). We must stop hating and envying the successful strides
we make in this existence. Every black leader who has tried to
break this process has been falsely accused, maligned, brought to
jail, beaten, and even put to death.

Black women, after you marry our brothers, you realize he has
no discipline or self-control. So, you start looking somewhere else,
only to find that somebody else is in that same state. You run from
one man after another, and you end up disappointed again. So,
why not stay with and stand by the man you have and help make
him into a good disciplined man. God knew what he was doing
when he made you in all of your beautiful glory. God created your
form to be appealing to your man's eyes.

The Holy Qu'ran says you were created to give man peace and
quict of mind and to be a consoler for him.

Black Women you must Educate your Daughters

Hyper-sexuality is being associated with today’s young black
women, a poison that allegedly demands young women offer
themselves o any man who asks. Many young black teenage fe-
males feel isolated and alone because their mothers are not educat-
ing them about their bodies or about the dangers of sexual abuse.
Many other young women refuse to degrade themselves in ex-
change for male companionship; we must arm young black women
with tools they need to make wise choices. There is a corporate-
driven “slut culture” being promoted in the United States.

The oppression and misuse of women is not new to Amerika, or
Amerika culture, but many sec a crisis of misogynistic and racist
clements that are damaging the soul of the nation and hurting chil-
dren, women and men in the process. Our black women, in par-
ticular, have historically been portrayed as sexual objects to justify
slavery, rape, sexual abuse and denial of respect and opportunity.
“Hotness” and sex appeal are also being pushed on adolescents and
younger girls in a dangerous way.

Girls and young women suffer intellectual, psychological and
physical problems as a result of messages that push sexualization. A
person is held to a standard that equates physical attractiveness
(narrowly defined) with being sexy. Made into a tool for others to
use sexuality, rather than seen as a person with the capacity for
independent action and decision-making, and/or ; sexuality i s
appropriately imposed upon young women. Shame and anxiety,
was linked with three of the most common mental health problems
diagnosed in girls and women; cating disorders; low self-esteem;
and depression or depressed moods; had negative consequences on
agirl's ability to develop a healthy sexual self-image. Educate your
Daughters.

The increased sexualization of young girls coincides with the
increase over time in teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases
and single parent households. Moreover, one in four girls in this
country have had a (STD). We are not raising or educating them

(5]
Right. We are failing to nurture them the right way
what they need.

ing them

Historically women and young girls across all races have been
seen as property. But, black women have been especially debased.
During slavery, the black woman's value was connected to how
many children she could bear and servicing the sexual nceds of
slave owners. The aggressive sex culture and industry, and nega-
tive images of black men promoted by white corporate executives
is undermining black male and female relationships. The black
community is the most besieged community in Amerika, and if you
break down and undermine the relationships, you destroy the fam-

ily structure and foundation of strength and self-determination in
apeople.

No more Disrespect—Love yourselves
Embrace your Blackness and your Beauty

If no one ever values your intelligence, your talents, skills, and
the beauty of your chastity and modesty, how will future genera-
tions of young women learn to appreciate themselves? This why it's
extremely important you have a strong sense of identity, not
knowing who you are and the purpose of your existence is very
emotionally unhealthy.

Black men have a moral duty to protect and respect our women
and forge a way of life for you in this society. They should be free
to express themselves in an environment where a woman will be
“honored” and not have to be worried that someone’s going to
harass or proposition them. A woman should be free to rise as high
as her gifts and talents will allow. Black men have to step up, strike
out, and build this kind of reality for our Black women, sisters, and
mothers; who are and will be our partners in progress. We need to
create and control institutions that reflect eternal values grounded

n the law of God, which protect women from abuse and mistreat-
ment.

‘While many Black men, this writer included, are partial to light-

[0}

Skinned “red bones”, we confess to the reality beyond the physical
attributes, we have beautiful women of all shades of Brown. How-
ever, the continued preference for lighter sisters among the Black
Community bears witness to psychic wounds that are not com-
pletely healed. The poisonous seli-hatred that pours freely in the
rejection of dark blackness is painful evidence of our unresolved
racial anxieties about our true beauty and sell-worth.

Dark black women have often been cast aside and looked down
upon because they embody the most visible connection to a fertile
Afrikan heritage whose value remains suspect in our culture and
nation. Stop identifying yourselves as a had bitch or whore. Some
of you have embraced these backward identities as validating your
self-worth. You shouldn’t want to be nobody’s “bottom bitch”,
how can you find pride or dignity in that? God gave you the
(special gift) to bring life into this world. Take a minute to think
about the value of being one that creates. You are God’s highest
creation—like female Gods (Goddesses) on this Earth. How then
could you abuse the Temple God blessed you with or allow others
to mistreat your body. You must embrace your identity, your many
shapes, shades in color, physical looks, because always remember,
it’s all from God. Our genetics are individual blue prints that con-
nects us to our parents and thus, to God the original creator s all.

You must respect and bonor your greatness, if we can ever ex-
pect Black family and community to rebuild itself . Stop hating one
another, embrace your sisters where ever you know they are. Be

that shining example that young black women need and want to be
ke.

Why I Love Black Women:

The Genuine Appreciation
(Final Note)

Black women have given us life, Love, and often fought for us

»u have now or have been afforded in current society, and it is
e we start to repay a long awaited overdue debt.

As a strong New Afrikan (Black) Man, I was raised by a strong
ack woman, who was forced to be responsible for my father's

of not being there. Carricd her (5) daughters and (3) sons on
« back. She raised her daughters to respect themselves, and her
s to never disrespect black women or the young women we em-
ace and later give our hearts to. She wasn’t perfect, far from it,
<e any black mother dealing with poverty and loss of employ-
ent. Then periods of living on welfare, she ensured her children
ere safe, had food to eat, and a roof over our heads. She was my
ack she-ro and super-woman rolled up all in one. In her later
ars, she patched her relationship with God and our relationship
ew closer. My mother came to terms that her second eldest son
atured into his manhood and was conscious and full of knowl-
Ige of sell. She said she was proud of who I had become.

Like many mothers and black women in Amerika, she too be-
me a victim of the non-compromising poison called cancer. In
97 my beautiful Queen mother surrendered her life to join our
icestors and other She-ros like Betty Shabazz, Rosa Parks, So-
uner Truth, Coretta Scott King, and so many others; that em-
aced her into their sisterhood. Prior to my beloved mother’s

ussing she gave me a very power card that really signified her em-
ace of her black beauty.

‘e words are liberational, it’s a poem by Derrick Barnes, a poet:

The Beautiful of Forgiveness

There's a power unseen when you forgive
the heart heals itself and all is made well
The pains of disappointments, despair, and broken promises
Can make us conceal our feclings inside.

Not knowing however that stress and depression
We experience can push many to breakdown
Or commit suicide..
This is how we really suppose to live
Forgiveness heals the heart....

1f you haven't learned to forgive you don’t know
What chis actually feel like...right.
Forgivenessis like a great stress-relicver
That soothes the agony of the soul
Places your innermost emotions under control
And your life will be a lot healthier

The beauty of forgiveness has become my
‘new companion now healing has begun
t0 shape and form into
what its supposed o be....
Jorgiveness is beautiful -

My imprisonment has kept me isolated from the world
They have sought to disconnect me from my loved ones
In an attempt to drive me crazy

Their actions against me has made me grow, adapt, to endure

growing more stronger by day more confident and sure

from the outside... will stand alohe

Complete control is the end they seek
they are inherently inferior and most surely weak
501 counter their goals and agendas
to keep me isolated from it all I remain unmoved

There s a real strength in Standing Alone
Because I am capable of
Taking care of myself
I will never be broken in the face
Of evil and adversity....

In Closing...Remarks

Black men have a holy obligation to acknowledge the beauty of
3od’s creation in black women’s unique shapes, sizes, shade, and
ityles. That's good news, because black women, like black men,
rave been attacked and exploited since they arrived on Amerikan
oil. Their hair is said not to be silky enough, their lips not thi
snough, their noses not slim, their hands not smooth enough, their
2ips ot straight enough, their skin not light enough, breasts not
rm enough, their frames not sleek enough, their eye not blue
:nough, their behinds not small enough. Despite such vicious
reatment, black women, have managed to hold on to a relatively
scalthy view of themselves. Black women and any conscious young
“emales I hope you love this message; this is my admiration and
ove for black women everywhere. Please forgive me for having to
write this to and for you from prison. I am not a rich man, my
iches come to you in my words, love, morality, and my black man-
a00d. Stay strong, strong black women—walk in the strength of
